Best Lima Hotels
Lima is a big city and the first decision to be made is the district you’d prefer to stay in. There are reasonable airport hotels for those needing quick access for flights, there are a handful of good hotels in the city’s central district, but by far the biggest range of good accommodations can be found in the Miraflores district.
That said, most budget travelers prefer to head to Barranco, neighboring Miraflores and home to Lima’s alternative/indie scene, with great performing and visual arts, live music and plenty of drinking holes.
There are also a number of great budget hostels in Barranco, one of the best being the Backpackers Inn. Just off the Malecon (sea front) with stunning views of the ocean, the hostel has a number of private and shared rooms, 24 hour hot water (not common for budget hostels!) and free internet. The hostel is just a couple of blocks away from Barranco Plaza, the social and entertainment hub of this famously thriving district.
For mid-range accommodation, a fine choice is the Casa Andina Miraflores hotel. The hotel occupies a handsome building just a few blocks from Miraflores’ thriving Parque Kennedy area, but in a quiet enough neighborhood to offer peace and quiet when required.
The hotel offers a restaurant with full buffet breakfast, plus wifi internet throughout the building. Contemporary styled rooms are comfortable in size, well equipped and stylishly decorated.
Travelers looking for a higher-end experience during their trip to Lima should look no further than the Casa Andina Private Collection, also in the heart of Miraflores. This 17 story building offers awesome views of the city as well as impeccable service.
The hotel also offers a wealth of amenities including flat screen TVs in each room, a massage parlor, a fully equipped gym, a sauna, a salon and an indoor pool.
