Thailand National Parks
A number of great national parks in Thailand and many of them are really nice. I will tell you some of my favorite one’s which I think is worth visiting as there is nearly 50 national parks in Thailand and it can be hard to choose which ones to go too. Some are free or will charge a small entrance fee, which will be about 200 baht.
Khao Yai is the oldest in Thailand and some say it is the best in the world. It has has over half a kilometer of walking or hiking trails that will keep you fit. It is only about a 3 to 4 hour drive from bangkok located just North east of Bangkok. You can also take the SRT which is a train and many buses go there. This is one of my personal favourite places to go for a weekend away.
Khao Sok has a beautiful national park and the rainforest is amazing also, the wildlife is everywhere and you really can smell the fresh air and it feels so good seeing all the birds everywhere too. This is my favourite place to go in Thailand for a holiday with nature. I think Khao Sok will be much more popular in the next 5 years with so many natural beauty.
Erawan national park in Kanchanaburi is about 3 hours drive from Bangkok and has one of the most beauiful waterfalls in Thailand, you can go swimming. This place is very popular and can be very busy on weekends and public holidays, best to go on the weekday. Close by is the Sai Yao which is also beautiful and you can also go fishing.
Koh Chang, this is my favourite island in Thailand and is also a national park, its the 2nd biggest Island in Thailand and has many waterfalls and beautiful beaches, very popular with tourists also.
Koh Samet is my second favour island national park which has waterfalls and nice beaches. Seems to being more developed every year and getting a little dirtier too which is a shame.
