How to get to Artouste:
From Spain: Artouste can be accessed through the Puerto del Portalet. And it is 9 km far from the Spanish frontier with France.
From France the best way is to use the E80 road that goes to Pau and then corroses all the Pyrenees National Park.
Artouste has also a train a very old stylish one called Le Petit Train d’Artouste. It seems like a little train for playing and it crosses the most elevated routes in Europe (about 2,000m above the sea). Mountains covered with snow will give the tourist a first impression about the French Pyrenees. The train starts its way in Sagett and for 50 minutes it crosses different places and even tunnels until arriving in Artouste.
