Chinese Sends Man to Moon and Probes to Mars and Venus
By 2025 China has planned to send its first man to moon, Chinese government announced on Monday, and will also begin to explore Mars and Venus in the next five years. It also said that there will also be a space station within the next 10 years.
Ye Peijian, the head of the country’s space program and commander in chief of the Chang’e lunar exploration project said that China is fully equipped and can accomplish the exploration of mars by 2013. It has been 15 years since man landed on moon and now it is going to be China. They are also sending a space probe to Venus by 2015.
China’s first spaceman Yang Liwei, confirmed that the first Chinese orbital station is planned to be set by around 2020. He also said that, China would launch its first unmanned space laboratory, Tiangong-1, next year, during a visit to the space centre in Xi’an. It is expected to dock with the Shenzhou-8 craft docks with the space station as the first step in constructing it.
Zhai Zhigang was another Chinese Astronaut who conducted the first spacewalk in 2008. China, earlier, had a head start by flying a man into space in 2003 thus becoming China became the third nation only after USA and USSR for flying a man into space in the year 2003 and Chang’e 1 was launched in 2007. It entered the lunar orbit and sent back the pictures of the moon.
There are three craters named after the Chinese namely Cai Lun, Bi Sheng and Zang Yuhze by the International Astronomic Union. Two of those men lived before Christ. Cai Lun was a Chinese inventor who invented of paper. Bi Sheng (990 BC-1051 BC), was also a Chinese inventor.
