Riding the Bus
Since 1905 buses have been used as a means of transportation to millions. When motorized transportation was made available business flourished. Riding the bus can be viewed by many in different ways and opinions. Everyone’s memory of their first day of school was taking the bus. Riding the bus has allowed the world to come together. People are now able to travel more freely, frequently, and are able to get around quicker.
What is your view on riding the bus? Do you enjoy it? Do you believe that if everyone took the bus it could save the fossil fuels that we have left in existence? I believe it can greatly help the world if everyone decided to take the bus every once in awhile. If everyone rode together we would not only be saving the fossil fuels, but as well saving the ozone layer. No one wants the seasons to get any hotter.
Everyone has had a favorite past time memory of riding a bus. If it was remembering your first bus ride to school, going on an awesome field trip to Disney World, or taking a bus tour through the a historical place everyone has a favorite memory of riding the bus. My favorite memories consist of taking a 1200 mile trip to summer camp or even just taking a 30 minute ride for a float trip! Buses can transport a lot of people in one trip making it highly economical if several people ride it. If everyone decides to drive their car, think of how much gas we are just wasting each year?
College students are taking the bus more frequently now, deciding to drive less. At every off campus apartment complex around the area there is usually a few buses that have a daily route back and forth to campus. This is great! Many students that are not allowed to have cars their first year on campus are now able to even take a bus back home. I have taken a luxury bus from Atlanta to Miami and loved it. They are much more comfortable than airplanes and are way better than having to drive yourself. You can get your homework done or even watch movies on the bus. Riding the bus is a great way of transportation and should be considered more often.
