How to Get Some One Else to Read For You
If you are anything like me, you have a ton of PDF files on your computer that are waiting to be read. I can’t sit in front of the computer and read all of these PDF’s and my collection is only growing. I love downloading free reports and ebooks but I never have any time to read them.
That all changed once I got my iPad.
I take my iPad with me everywhere I go. I also carry it to bed for some reading before I go to sleep. Once I figured out how to upload my PDF files to my iPad, I was finally able to read them all. The free iBook application for the iPad allows you to read your PDF documents just like an ebook.
Here’s how you upload your PDF’s to your iPad:
1. Download and install the Dropbox application. If you search the App Store for Dropbox you’ll find it right away.
2. Go to www.dropbox.com and create a free dropbox account.
3. When you run the Dropbox application for the first time on your iPad it will ask you for your username and password. That’s the one you used when you signed up in Step #2.
4. Go back to www.dropbox.com and upload your pdf’s to your Dropbox account. You can even create folders to keep everything organized.
5. Open the Dropbox application on your iPad and you’ll see your PDF’s there.
You can read your PDF’s from the Dropbox application or you can import them directly to iBooks. When you have one of the PDF’s open there is a button on the upper right side of the screen. Pushing that button will allow you to open the PDF in iBooks.
When you hit the Open in iBooks button, the PDF will automatically be imported into iBooks. It will also be synced to your computer when you sync your iPad with iTunes.
Now you can enjoy reading your PDF’s in comfort with your iPad.
